Taking out the activism category was http://www.change.org/en-AU a platform for promoting a cause big or small from decriminalising cannabis for medical use for a terminally ill boy to securing more funding for Lifeline.
https://www.coursera.org/ got a win in the Education category for providing free courses in partnership with the top universities and organisation all over the world.
People’s voice for gaming went to Atari for the old school arcade website which allows you to play classics in your web browser like Centipede, Combat, Lunar Lander, Missile Command, Super Breakout, Yar’s Revenge, Asteroids and the father of all computer games Pong.
https://www.airbnb.com/ Got a win in the travel section with it’s novel approach to finding a place to stay and renting out a spare room to travellers.
People’s Voice for best online variety was a personal favorite of mine, Epic Rap Battles of History a clever and witty music video series where heavyweights of history (some real, some finctional) face off in the classic rap battles. https://www.youtube.com/user/ERB
