Website of the week 13/11/2012

OK space nerds, this is cool.

Ever stopped and wondered “Where is the International Space Station right now? Can I see it from here? When is it passing overhead?”

Wonder no more. Thanks to Royce, a friend of EZiWireless I can now point you to a website that will show you exactly where and when you can see the space station with alerts for when the ISS is whizzing overhead.

If you have a mobile phone you can get alerts of when to look up for the third brightest object in the sky after the Sun and Moon. Because of the orbit taken by the ISS you might have to wait a month for good conditions to lock eyeballs on it or you may be lucky to manage two or three sightings in a single week. If you have some clear skies coming up and you want to catch a glimpse of the ISS, visit http://spotthestation.nasa.gov first to get a heads up.
