To all my clients, followers, friends and subscribers.
Thanks for 2013 which has been a buidling year for me as I broaden my focus and take a look at new services I can offer. I have learnt more about myself and my position within the industry while also making some great contacts within my business circles.
Here is a little heads up on how I will be greeting 2014 as tonight rolls into the morning. I will be joining Leo Laporte from the TWiT netcast network as midnight looms in the GMT+8 timezone. It is pretty exciting to finally get to chat with Leo after tuning into his network so many years ago. If you want to watch the 24 hours of midnight as it wraps around the globe then go to http://live.twit.tv/. There will be special tech presentations leading up to the first timezone so feel free to tune in anytime.
I would also like to recognise and thank people that have shared my 2013.
Of course, my family always comes at the top of my list for putting up with all my crazy ideas and acting as a soundboard to keep me grounded as well as understanding that I need to put in more than the 9 to 5 workday in order to run and develop a business.
I would like to thank Chris Ilsley of 6PR for yet another year of chatting every week on the radio as we cover the weeks technology news as well as chat to listeners about everyday technology every Wednesday from midnight to 1AM. Chris also gets a big thanks for putting me forward for the 6PR Drive Program which is from 3:30PM to 4PM every Thursday afternoon.
A thankyou also to Patrick Yam, Brand Illusionist for helping me in rebranding my business this year. A brilliant creative talent with a real eye for presenting a message clearly in visual styles.
Damon Knott for excellent quality printing services supplied by AsOne Advertising and Marketing.
I would also have to credit the following business networking groups for keeping me sane. If you want to know more or would like an introduction, just let me know and I will be happy to invite you along as a guest.
Kairos Networking – This is a pretty well-structured referral group with clear goals and a forward looking vision. Meeting in Northbridge every second Wednesday morning for brunch and regular presentations. This group operates like BNI but without the price tag.
Northern Suburbs Small Business Coffee Club – Every second Thursday morning at 8:30 we meet in a local coffee shop and have a relaxed chat with other members and enjoy regular presentations. We learn about eachothers business and make lasting impressions with other members so when a client asks if we know someone, we have a members name ready to go.The Sundowners – At least once a month, we gather on a Friday afternoon because it is good to unwind with like-minded people. This is a sister group to the Northern Suburbs Small Business Coffee Club and helps to further ensure that members remember who we are and what we do.
Of course none of this is possible without the support and business from all of my clients big and small. I thank all of you for a great year and welcome you all to join me in 2014.
I will be available to hit the ground running on Thursday, 2nd of January 2014 so I am ready to tackle anything you need done as soon as you go back to work in the new year.
Wishing everyone a happy and prosperous 2014.
