2 new threats identified

The FBI’s Internet Crime Complaint Centre (IC3) is warning android users to be careful with links claiming to be a system update or a work-from-home scheme. These pieces of malware are designed to get personal information to facilitate identity theft of the owner and the people listed in the android device’s address book. There is also the possibility that the malware can provide monitoring or remote control of the phone by the bad guys.

Fortunately the IC3 is not all doom and gloom as they offer tips on how to help keep your phone and other devices safe.
